Valentine's Day for schools

Valentine's Day morning assemblies for schools will once again be held on 14 February 2025. This year we will organise separate morning assemblies for younger and older pupils.

We would be happy to have you with us!

What makes a good friend? How could you be a better friend? Friendship skills are among life's most important skills and it's always good to practice them.

The national Red Cross Valentine’s day morning assemblies on 14 February 2025 discuss themes of friendship and relationships with friends.

Morning assemblies

Elina and Sofia, one of the most popular Youtuber sibling pairs in Finland, will participate in the primary school assembly. The sisters are known for their positive attitude and feel-good videos.

The artist duo Emma and Matilda will be making a video appearance in the lower secondary school morning assembly.

Watch the younger students morning assembly here (1-4th grades).

Watch the older students morning assembly here (5-9th grades).

Subtitles are available in Finnish, Swedish, or English. To select the subtitle language, click the 'CC' icon in the bottom right corner of the video.

Challenge for classes

At the end of the morning assembly, we want to challenge the students to reflect on their own friendship skills by completing an easy task.

The pupils are asked consider the friendship skills highlighted during the morning assembly. What skills do they already have? What skills could they improve?

You can also discuss the skills together with the class.
