Youth Shelters listen and look for solutions when things go wrong at home or elsewhere. At the Youth Shelters, you can ask us about anything related to adolescence or parenting – an everyday worry or a major life crisis.

Everyone has the right to have safe people in their lives. Youth Shelters support the young person and their family based on their individual situation. You can contact us online, call us whenever you need to or come directly to one of our Youth Shelters. You can come to us on your own initiative and without an appointment. Youth Shelters help free of charge.

Our activities are based on the voluntary participation of the young person and their loved ones. The temporary accommodation is an intoxicant-free space.

“Afterwards, I have wondered where I would be had I not rung the buzzer at the Youth Shelter.”
Niko, who received help from a Youth Shelter

Support, security and activity

We offer help for young people and their loved ones by appointment  throughout Finland online.

Our Youth Shelters are located in five locations. Support is available 24 hours a day on weekdays and during evenings and nights at weekends. If necessary, a young person can spend the night at our shelter.

Youth Shelters also operate online in the Sekasin chat service. (in Finnish and Swedish)

A young person or anyone worried about the well-being of a young person can contact our Youth Shelters. Various kinds of help and support are available, and we can work together to find the best solution for you.

Youth Shelters also offer interesting volunteering tasks.

Welcome to our Youth Shelter!

Visit or call us. We offer discussion support to young people and their parents face-to-face and nationally online. We also help with fixing sleep patterns and becoming independent. We can also offer temporary accommodation to young people as required. You can contact us at your own initiative without a referral.

Young person! Do you wish to make your voice heard and take part in topical discussions online? The Digiraati activities allow you to participate and make a difference in safe and moderated online discussions.

The discussions are anonymous and comply with the principles of a safer space. You can take part in ongoing discussions flexibly according to your own resources and schedules when it best suits you.

Your voice gets heard, as every discussion is communicated through social media and also directly to bodies that make decisions concerning young people and work with them.
